ASOZ
The ASOZ system is designed for modern streetcar, train and trolleybus depots.
The main task of the system is the automated management of vehicle traffic within the depot while maintaining a high level of safety.
The main functionalities of the ASOZ system include the automatic control of streetcar traffic in the depot area, including the tracking of streetcars’ location in the depot area, work planning and registration of the engine drivers’ working time, planning of periodic inspections, integration with diagnostic devices such as: track lathe or wheel profile wear control station.
System functionalities
RFID tags installed in vehicles allow for automatic recognition of rolling stock units entering the depot. The identified vehicle is directed by the system to the appropriate parking place, determined taking into account the current timetable and transport tasks to be performed. The Operator’s Terminal shows the locations of all vehicles on the depot, the routes mapped by the Depot Management System, and messages from metering devices.
The Traffic Control System
- Automatic traffic control
Planning of periodic inspections
- Management via a convenient desktop
- Track the location of trams
- Planning of working time
- Registration of tram drivers’ working time
- Provision of information for drivers
The Traffic Control System is responsible for the safety of streetcar traffic at the Depot. It encompasses the entire trackside infrastructure responsible for the safe movement of vehicles within the Depot, i.e., switch control, signal control, detection and safety elements, and ensuring SIL3 safety requirements. The system responds automatically to a number of emergency and unusual situations. In particular, it registers infrastructure failures and presents their location at the Operator’s Terminal.
The system is equipped with a number of reports which allow the operator to summarize the information gathered during the work with the system in a coherent and clear way. Reports provide information about service and cyclical orders, departure times of vehicles, working time of drivers, infrastructure failures and all routes completed in the depot. Within the framework of implementation, the elements of infrastructure and systems supporting the depot operation, such as optical fiber network, CCTV, DECT telephony, access control, automatic fire detection system SAP, intrusion detection system SSWiN, building automation system BMS can also be designed and delivered. All the above elements serve to improve safety, functionality and comfort of work in the depot operated by ASOZ system.
Benefits
- automation of depot operations – vehicle identification, traffic control, parking space allocation, ability to map any depot track layout – reducing costs and labour intensity,
- increasing the level of traffic safety on the depot area, collision prevention, possibility of graphical reproduction of the system state and traffic situation from a given time interval,
- easy integration with diagnostic equipment (laser wheel measuring system, flat spot measuring station), automation (gate and barrier controllers, sand bunker system) and external IT systems (work planning, timetable creation),
- easy and centralized maintenance management,
- comprehensive planning of maintenance and repair works on rolling stock,
- extensive reporting – full record of work performed at the depot, planning and recording of motormen’s working time,
- effective surveillance mechanisms – tracking the location of vehicles, surveillance of infrastructure.
