Data storage infrastructure: intelligent storage systems (disk arrays), storage networks, automated information lifecycle management (ILM) – optimization of storage costs and long-term storage of data, centralization and simplification of management of storage systems, object arrays – new quality: data as “objects”, i.e., “proper” data and associated tags and additional information.
